What we collect, and why

Newsletter sign-up (“Notify me”)

If you sign up to be notified about our launch, we store the email address you provide. We use it only to send you updates about the Lyssna campaign and product launch — nothing else, and we don’t sell it or hand it to third parties for their own marketing. The one exception: if you have accepted advertising cookies, a one-way encoded (hashed) version of the email address you type into the form may be passed to Pinterest, as explained under “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing us. Legal basis: your consent.

Contact form

If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address and message by email so we can reply to you. We don’t store these messages anywhere else. Legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in answering your question.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Without your consent, this website only uses the technical cookies required to make forms work securely, which don’t require consent under the law.

When you visit, a cookie notice appears at the bottom of the page. Nothing described below is loaded until you click “Accept” — if you click “Decline”, none of it is used. Legal basis: your consent. Once accepted, the following may be used:

• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — lets us measure what happens on our site after someone clicks one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, and helps us show our ads to people who may be interested. It sets cookies such as _fbp, which Meta keeps for a limited time (typically up to 3 months).
• Pinterest Tag — does the same for our Pinterest ads. It sets cookies such as _pin_unauth and _pinterest_ct_ua. We have also enabled Pinterest’s automatic conversion attribution, limited to one data point: the email address you type into our sign-up or contact form. Pinterest receives it only in hashed form (a one-way code, not readable as an email address) and uses it to match visits and sign-ups to Pinterest accounts. We do not share your phone number, name, location, gender or date of birth this way.
• Google Analytics — only if we start using it, to understand how visitors use the site. It would set _ga and _ga_<container-id>, kept for up to 2 years.

Meta, Pinterest and Google act under their own privacy policies and may process this data outside the EU: see Meta’s privacy policy, Pinterest’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. The exact cookie lifetimes are set by these companies and may change.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We also store your cookie choice itself in your browser (not a tracking cookie, and not shared with anyone) for up to 12 months, after which we’ll ask again.

Technical data

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs some technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running reliably. This is kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy;
• ask us to correct inaccurate data;
• ask us to delete your data;
• withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything done before you withdrew it);
• object to how we process your data;
• lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unauthorised access.

Changes to this policy

As the Lyssna Modular system and this website evolve — for example when our webshop goes live — we may update this policy. The date below shows when it was last changed.
